Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona, 24, known by her stage name as 'Makhadzi', has reached a gold status for her hit single, 'Di boya Limpopo'. The 'Haka Matorokisi' hitmaker took to social media to let her fans know about her achievement on Sunday afternoon.

Makhadzi featured a fellow artist by the name of Zanda Zakuza, and producer and boyfriend, Master KG, for Di boya Limpopo, which received more airplays and continues to get played on mainstream radio stations across the country. According to the Recording Industry of South Africa (RISA), a “single” is certified “gold” by the sale of 10 000 units, and 15 000 units for an album.

Makhadzi's achievement comes after she had been snubbed for a nomination by the South African Music Awards (SAMAs). Both Makhadzi and boyfriend, Master KG, have been left out of the SAMAs, despite their successful careers and a record of good music.

In a Facebook post, Makhadzi wrote: “Zwinzhi zwitshe phanda... thanks for your love and support...diboya Limpopo reached gold...thanks to Master KG SA Music for believing in me and zanda zakuza for working with me. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ congratulations makhadzi wavhorineeeee...all thanks to one mic production for making sure I shine everyday with my craft.
